超任时代像素游戏风的高俯视车站小镇,严格像素网格与限色调色板,画面里藏了四只猫,非常适合拆解“大场景密度”写法。
A 16-bit pixel-art picture in the style of a Super Nintendo era game, horizontal 3:2, a "find the hidden cats" picture in the spirit of a classic seek-and-find book: a whole busy Japanese station town seen from an extremely high and wide oblique top-down view, like the overworld of a 16-bit city game, so that everything is tiny and there is an enormous amount to look at. In the middle a big station building with a green tiled roof and a clock, a plaza in front of it with a round fountain and benches, a small wooden outdoor stage where a street band plays, bus stops, a bus, taxis; a long covered shopping street running left to right with dozens of tiny shops with striped awnings (greengrocer with crates of vegetables, bakery, flower shop, ramen shop, barber, sweets, game arcade); train tracks with a train and a level crossing; a park with a pond, a stone bridge, willows and cherry blossoms; a school with a running track; a hillside shrine with red torii gates and stone steps; a river with bridges; a harbour with a ferry, a crane and a lighthouse; apartment blocks, narrow alleys, parked cars, vending machines. About 200 minuscule people drawn as tiny sprites, each doing something: commuters, a busker band, kids in school uniforms, shopkeepers, a mother with a stroller, joggers, delivery workers. A standing person is only about 3% of the picture height. There are no animals of any kind in the town except the four cats below (no birds, dogs, fish or carp, no mascot costumes, no animal-shaped rides, signs or statues). The look is the point: authentic 16-bit pixel art with a strict pixel grid, every game pixel one crisp square block of a single flat colour and the same pixel size everywhere (about 512 x 340 game pixels), hard aliased edges, no anti-aliasing, no blur, no smooth gradients, a limited SNES-like palette with dithering for shading, bright saturated sunny colours, dark outlines on the sprites. It must read as a real 16-bit game screen. No user interface of any kind: no HUD, dialogue boxes, menus, minimap, border or frame, no title. Exactly one small logo: a small black signboard above the door of the bakery on the shopping street in the right half, about 4% of the picture width, with a cream-white paw print whose big pad holds a swirling ocean wave, and the word "Shoji" in white cursive brush lettering to its right, drawn in white pixels. Apart from that sign there are no letters, words or numbers anywhere. Exactly four cats are hidden in the scene and no other cat or animal anywhere. The cats are all tiny, redrawn as 16-bit sprites, in the same middle band of the picture, each in the open and never hidden behind anything, none in the lower third; the three real cats are each only about 1.5% of the picture height, well under half the height of a standing person, and wear a thin red collar with a tiny gold bell: 1. a black-and-white "hachiware" cat (black head and back, a white blaze splitting the face, white chest and paws) sitting upright in front of the greengrocer's shop among crates of vegetables, in the left half; 2. a brown mackerel tabby (warm brown fur with dark stripes, white muzzle and chest) sitting upright on a flat grey rock at the edge of the park pond, upper middle of the picture; 3. a calico cat (white with orange and black patches) sitting on the stone rim of the station plaza fountain on its far right side, next to the people on the bench; 4. Shoji Cat, an upright orange tabby cat about three heads tall in a black leather jacket, denim shorts, cream sneakers and black wayfarer sunglasses, dancing with one arm raised among the crowd in front of the street band's stage in the station plaza, about one and a half times as tall as each of the other three cats. No dark round objects or dark animal-like shapes that could be mistaken for a cat. No watermark.
